Paging Bianca Jagger: Wolk Morais, once known as Ruffian in New York circles, continued its second act in Hollywood last night with the premiere of its club-chic third collection under its eponymous new name. Designers Claude Morais and Brian Wolk have taken their love of the now legendary Saturday night staple Giorgio’s Night Club at The Standard Hotel in West Hollywood and brought the party to the runway. What better place to debut the looks than Giorgio’s itself? “Our weekly Saturday night rendezvous at Giorgio’s have provided us with endless inspiration and extraordinary insight into Los Angeles’ most fashionable women,” the designers explained.
The show was once again styled by Elizabeth Stewart, with hair by Paul Mitchell, make-up by NARS, shoes by Terry de Havilland, and eyewear by Perverse. This year, Wolk Morias aligned with Teen Cancer America and dedicated the show to awareness of teen cancer in America. The designers created a cloisonné pin especially for the event.
