Sofia Achaval’s Complete Spring 2020 Paris Fashion Week Diary

DAY 4: SEPTEMBER 26, 2019

Chloe
Chloe’s Spring 2020 fashion show took place at the Grand Palais. The setting had white pillars at the centre of the catwalk with big lights at the top. A lot of photographers were at the entrance getting pictures of personalities like Pixie Geldof, Camila Coehlo, Charlotte Groeneveld and Bruna Marquezine. Natasha Ramsay-Levy’s collection reflected his elegant and timeless style. The fluid silk clothes combined with tailored items such as jackets in colors like pink, beige, gray and brown were among my favorite looks. Especially the shorts with their hems in different fabrics that were without a doubt the stars.

Models wore their hair loose and and in a wet style, which added freshness and sophistication. On the other hand, the strong black eyeliner strengthened the gazes. Golden accessories played a fundamental role and we could see necklaces and bracelets standing out over the cuffs in some of the garments, while the open bags made the Chloe woman feel contemporary and real.

Off-White
Off-White’s fashion show took place at the Centre Pompidou with a big white curtain dressing the runway where the collection shone. Like usual, big celebrities like Naomi Campbell and Ryan Destiny, as well as rap star Tyga, would not miss the chance to see the brand’s new collection.

Virgil Abloh’s designs mixed relaxed pieces with more structured ones: on the one side, fishnet fabrics were used in items like maxi-bags, while on the other side, cut-out fabrics could be seen repeated in gloves, boots, t-shirts and dressing clothes like suits and pants. Colored glasses completed the looks inspired by the ’90s and were the perfect complement for the fuchsia dress Bella Hadid wore at the end of the show.

Isabel Marant
The day’s last show took us to the Place Colette Paris to learn about Isabel Marant’s new proposal in one of the most called-for events of the week. The collection was inspired by Brazil, and it was reflected in the floral stamps and the very colorful threads that the models wore in very sexy and relaxed clothes to the beat of lively music. Mini-shorts, sported by models like Kaia Gerber, Irina Shayk and Natasha Poly, were the very sexy big protagonists and made it all about legs. Accessories made with seashells and feathers added a rustic vibe together with lace belts, which were used to tighten loose clothes to the waist. The choice of make-up and loose wavy hair went along the refreshing vibe of the collection.
