So nice, they’re doing it twice! Miu Miu announced it will re-stage its resort 2019 show this November, trading its original Paris location for Shanghai. The reason? According to WWD, the brand wants to “celebrate the glory of modern-day Shanghai and to continue the dialogue between Miu Miu and Asian women.”

The original show made headlines thanks to its powerhouse cast. Miuccia Prada tapped celebrities like Gwendoline Christie, Chloe Sevigny, Rowan Blanchard, Alexa Chung, and Uma Thurman walked, as did big-name models like Naomi Campbell, Kaia Gerber, Adriana Lima, and Adwoa Aboah, just to name a few. Its still unknown who will be walking in the second go-around, but considering Miu Miu wants to have a “dialogue” with Asian women, one would assume some Chinese stars will dot the runway. Regardless, we look forward to seeing what the show has to offer.

The news also comes after Tommy Hilfiger made his own Shanghai debut on September 4th. It goes to show that designers are recognizing the strength of the ever-growing Chinese market — and that the city has endless opportunities for show locations.
