Tommy Hilfiger Traveled to Shanghai to Kick Off Fashion Month

Though New York Fashion Week doesn’t kick off until Thursday, for one American designer the runway season has already begun: Tommy Hilfiger! The icon, who has been taking his shows on the road for a few seasons now, presented his Fall 2018 collection in Shanghai a few hours ago, using the city’s skyline as an incredibly chic backdrop.

In addition to having some of his favorite models on the runway — including Hailey Baldwin, Winnie Harlow, Joan Smalls, Lucky Blue Smith,  Josephine Skriver, Hannah Ferguson, Abdulaye Niang, Sarah Dahl, Callum Stoddart, Wang Chen Ming, Ziwei Cao, Ni Hao Ran, and Dylan Xue — the show also featured  Olympic fencer Miles Chamley-Watson.

Among the 1000+ guests in attendance was Formula One champion Lewis Hamilton — who happens to have worked on a collaboration capsule with Hilfiger. The Tommy X Lewis collection, which took inspiration from the driver’s tattoos, was unveiled at the show.

Overall, Hilfiger presented a variety of sporty looks for the season, drawing heavily on ’90s style, with elements of the brand’s traditional collegiate aesthetic. Thanks to the label’s “see now, buy now” approach, expect to see many of these wares on the streets as soon as the weather changes. See the full collection, below.
