Last Night’s FMAs Brought Out Fashion’s Best
The Daily Front Row was proud to host the 6th annual Fashion Media Awards last night at the Park Hyatt hotel. The event, hosted by The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story star Darren Criss, honored industry giants like Nina Garcia, Stephen Gan, and Stefano Tonchi, as well as models Ashley Graham and Irina Shayk. Nicki Minaj, Amy Schumer, and Martha Stewart were among those on hand to present, with Hudson and Jameson Kroenig acting as the event’s trophy boys, passing the statuettes to honorees.

Jeremy Scott Brought the Fun to NYFW
Jeremy Scott’s Spring 2019 collection was mined from archives of clothing and photos he has held on to over the years, with a splash of wackiness. Crowds swarmed to get into the show. Luckil,y famous fans such as Tiffany Haddish, Rita Ora, and Paris Hilton arrived on time, as did Gigi Hadid and Paris Jackson, who managed to swap out of their FMA looks for Scott-designed outfits just in the nick of time.

Chanel Closes NY Headquarters (Business of Fashion)
Chanel has bid adieu to New York — at least, in the corporate sense. The French house will be closing its NY headquarters and centralizing its operations in London. Au revoir!

London Fashion Week Will be Fur Free (The Guardian)
A day after Burberry announced that it would cease to use fur in its collections, the British Fashion Council has revealed that none of the designers participating in London Fashion Week this season will use fur either. While the BFC is not implementing a ban on the material, it appears that designers are steadily moving away from it.

Moët & Chandon Taps Virgil Abloh on Custom Designed Bottles
Is there anything Virgil Abloh can’t design? The creative virtuoso was recently tapped by Moet & Chandon to create a custom bottle design for the brand’s popular Nectar Imperial Rosé. The all-white design features the words “DO NOT DROP” along the side in Abloh’s easily recognizable font, which will surely make the bottles collectors items.

Alexander Skarsgård Talks Big Little Lies in WSJ. Magazine (WSJ. Magazine)
Big Little Lies star Alexander Skarsgård covers the new issue of WSJ. Magazine and revealed that he appears in the show’s second season. Skarsgård seemed particularly excited about possibly getting the chance to finally work with Meryl Streep, who will also star in the hit HBO show. Although the two previously appeared in the film The Giver together, Skarsgård said he never actually met Streep, as her character appeared in a hologram. “I haven’t worked with her yet, but I’m excited,” he told the magazine. “If she’s a hologram again, I’ll throw a fit.”
