For the past few seasons Donatella Versace has been bringing back the house’s favorite supermodels. Amber Valletta closed the Pre-Fall 2019 show, while Shalom Harlow made her triumphant return to the runway for Spring ’19. So what surprise face showed up today? Stephanie Seymour! The model — who appeared in many of the brand’s campaigns in the ’90s — looked right at home in her glittering black gown.

Other notable favorites on the runway were some of today’s biggest names: Gigi and Bella Hadid, Kaia Gerber, Kendall Jenner, Candice Swanepoel, Adut Akech, and more. Harlow opened the show. It was basically a big supermodel bonanza.

The clothes themselves also had a ’90s theme, with many saying this was Donatella’s grunge moment. The safety pin, a house emblem, was a centerpiece of the collection. But the best throwback by far was the designer’s collaboration with the Richard Avedon Foundation. The iconic fashion photographer memorialized Versace’s ’90s collections on many of the models the house has been bringing back the past few seasons. Now Donatella is re-releasing some of his portraits of her in a t-shirt collection.

The whole show was a reminder of why Versace has so many fans: it has been producing some of fashion’s most fun collections for decades. Brava, Donatella!
