Bad Gal RiRi came to Paris and gave one of history’s most iconic bad girls, Marie Antoinette, a 21st century makeover. That meant over-the-top indulgent streetwear in the vein of 18th century Versailles. Rihanna held court at the Hotel Salomon de Rothschild where she debuted sportswear in luxurious fabrics adorned with ruffles, lace, bows, and pearls in a color palette that ranged from girly girl pink and lavender to olives and rich browns. “I am really excited about this collection as its very fun and light. Showing in Paris was the perfect backdrop as I pulled a lot of inspiration from France, Marie Antoinette and The Palace of Versailles specifically,” said Rihanna in a statement. “Mixing athletic wear with regal touches was a challenge and I hope everyone loves the results. I cannot wait to wear this collection.” Looks from Fenty Puma by Rihanna’s debut last season are already selling out on Puma’s website and the hype surrounding this brand is so high, it looks like Rihanna has yet another successful career on her hands. Queen RiRi is having her cake and eating it too.
