Saint Laurent (firstVIEW)

Schiaparelli
Schiaparelli´s pret-a-couture collection, Story #1, was inspired by Elsa Schiaparelli´s long-time friend and collaborator Man Ray. Every piece was a mix of the urban and the legendary, resulting in a perfect balance of art and fashion. Nods to surrealism are present in the shape of padlocks (the brand´s symbol) in day and evening wear but also in jewelry. Schiaparelli is also in the details: we were offered coffee with a surrealist designed cake, a perfect ending to a collection that had nothing to envy from the haute couture one.

Koché
The Espace Niemeyer, where Koché´s presentation took place, was a show in and of itself because of its architecture — green carpet on the floor, walls, and ceiling, with little white panels that gave an extraordinary setting to the show. In attendance were Hamish Bowles and the always fashionable instagirls Linda Tol and Leaf Greener. Neon details were everywhere: from little yellow socks mixed with black dresses to neon dresses in fuchsia and blue. But my favorite item was without a doubt a big coat with little country flags — the crown jewel of the collection.

Fabrizio Vitti
Afterwards, I went to my friend´s Fabrizio Viti presentation at The Travellers Club. I said hi to Fabrizio and her partner Alexia Niedzielski and ran into Leaf Greener, who was wearing my favourite Fabrizio´s patent leather over-the-knee black boots. After that, Fabrizio showed me the collection that included satin shoes and boots and sandals with the signature daisy flowers. The collection was a success, as are all of his others.

Saint Laurent
The Saint Laurent presentation used the Eiffel Tower as its backdrop, as models walked on water, surrounded by lightened palm trees.  It was the perfect atmosphere to show an empowering collection. Stars like Kate Moss, Cindy Crawford, and Salma Hayek were witnesses to the marvels on display from designer Anthony Vaccarello and were wowed when the clock struck 8:00 and the Eiffel Tower lit up the night. The brand´s signature le smoking and its revisions are still a must-have in a collection filled with deep necklines and pronounced shoulders, which — mixed with transparencies — made this collection one of the sexiest so far this week.
