Earlier this week Nicole Miller held a lavish fashion show in Taipinghu Park at Xintiandi during Shanghai Fashion Week. The event re-introduced her Fall 2019 collection (which was originally presented at New York Fashion Week), along with some brand new pieces. The collection was unabashedly feminine and chic. Skirts and dresses were at the heart of the lineup. Miller also debuted a new handbag collaboration at the show with Botkier New York.
“It’s about the world today and what we think about” Miller says of her collection, which featured up-cycled fabrics. “I mixed club flyers with astrological signs. Everyone is always looking for answers. The collection has a lot of fun elements and addresses the street trend in a feminine way”.
“Nicole Miller has been transitioning its business model to serve the new realities of the 21st Century” says Bud Konheim, CEO of Nicole Miller. “China has become a key economic and cultural player on the world scene. China’s fashion community is as active and aggressive as our own and Nicole has a long history of designing and manufacturing with and for the mainland Chinese. Developing our fashion ability in China is an exciting element in our transition to the modern era.”
