Gucci Is The Top Selling Brand in Consignment (NY Times)
Luxury consignment shop The RealReal has revealed that Gucci is the most searched brand on its site, with sales up 62% “across all age groups.” In a more specific breakdown, Chanel is still number one among millennial women, while Rolex took the top spot for men. What was most surprising is that, according to the New York Times, Supreme is among the top brands consigned, but not among the top sellers. It appears Hypebeasts are more discerning about resales than we give them credit for.

Meredith Corp Rumored to Buy Brides (WWD)
Earlier this month Condé Nast announced the sale of W, Brides, and Golf Digest as part of its restructuring plan. The publisher wanted to secure deals by the end of the year, and it looks like Brides might be the first to find a new home! Apparently Meredith Corp is in talks to acquire the magazine. Its would certainly be an interesting buy, considering Meredith also owns Martha Stewart Weddings. If you can’t beat ’em, buy ’em!

Layoffs at Helmut Lang (Business of Fashion)
Helmut Lang is going through a period of restructuring that will result in layoffs of up to 40 people. According to Business of Fashion the downsizing began earlier this month and will continue through this week. Although the brand has not been profitable in years, its parent company, Fast Retailing, has no plans to sell it off.

Hilary Swank Wore Elie Saab Couture at Her Wedding (Vogue)
For her recent wedding, two-time Academy Award winner Hilary Swank wore an Elie Saab couture gown. “I’ve loved Elie Saab for years and was thrilled to have him design my dress,” she told Vogue. “I wanted something romantic that felt as timeless as the redwood grove where we were to be married, and he delivered—designing something that far surpassed my greatest expectations.” She later changed into a custom Dior cocktail dress for the reception. Congrats!
