Day 4: January 18, 2020
Hermes
The Mobilier National was once again the venue for Véronique Nichanian’s Hermes collection. The place had a minimalist vibe that was reflected in the decorations, which were next to nothing (aside from the leather seating provided). About the clothes: the pants were tapered and the shirts were tied in a Boy Scout style. Jersey turtlenecks were wide and combined with trousers and rubber boots. Last but not least, elegant leather coats were a hit in both long versions to the knee and jackets to the hips.

Jacquemus
Simon Porte Jacquemus celebrated his birthday and his new collections at the same time. Both the men’s and women’s pieces were dominated by neutral colors. Although strikes of pastel yellow, neon pink, and green were present in several items. The proposal for men also had linen cargo pants that were combined with hoodies and oversized jackets. Even though suits had a strong presence, Simon chose to include low waisted pants for men and tight dresses for women, besides the narrow skirts that were the collection’s highlight. As usual, the handbags were all anyone could talk about.

Loewe
Jonathan Anderson had fun creating items from traditional high fashion women’s clothes, dismantling them, and putting them together again for men. He mixed up shirts and trousers with long lamé dresses with sweaters underneath. On the other hand, ’50s gala dresses turned into aprons over suits. Exotic animals were a major element as well: bird drawings were featured on shirts and hats, while feathers decorated the clothes and elephant shaped bags, completing the looks.
