Hassan Shafiq Menswear: Where Legacy Meets Luxury

“For years, grooms were expected to blend in. But Hassan Shafiq had another vision — one stitched in silk, laced with tradition, and made to stand out like royalty.”

In an industry where the spotlight has long been reserved for brides, Hassan Shafiq Menswear is flipping the script — putting grooms, brothers, and fathers front and center with bespoke outfits that radiate confidence, heritage, and cinematic flair.

What started as a whisper of a dream in a Bradford bedroom has become one of the most exciting names in menswear. The brand’s signature style is bold, unapologetic, and deeply personal — marrying South Asian elegance with a global sense of fashion-forward luxury. Today, the brand serves a loyal and ever-expanding clientele, from viral grooms on TikTok to entire wedding parties draped in hand-finished shawanis and shawls that look like they stepped out of a film set.

And the best part? They’re just getting started.

A Brand Built on Rebellion, Faith & Family
Before the silk and sequins, Hassan was working as an accountant for the NHS. His life was stable, predictable — but deeply misaligned. “I’d go home and sketch ideas. Not because I thought it would become a business… but because I had to,” he shares. “It was this voice I couldn’t ignore.”

He noticed a gap in the market: while bridal-wear boutiques were everywhere, groom-wear options felt like an afterthought. “South Asian weddings are full of power and pageantry — but the groom was being overlooked,” he explains. “I wanted to change that.”

But not everyone was immediately onboard.

“When I first told people my dream, the reactions were brutal,” Hassan recalls. “People laughed. They said it would never work. But I think every creative person has that moment — where doubt becomes fuel.”

In 2017, he launched Hassan Shafiq Menswear — and within months, was handling every stitch, every fitting, and every customer himself. It wasn’t easy. Suppliers flaked. Funds dried up. But Hassan kept going. Eventually, he opened a small workshop with five team members — and from there, the pieces started falling into place.

From TikTok to Tailored Stardom

The brand’s breakthrough came not from glossy ads, but from raw social media magic. Videos of grooms walking into weddings like royalty started racking up views — millions of them. TikTok clips of intricate hand-beading, rich brocades, and proud fathers wearing matching shawls sparked a wave of admiration (and some imitation).

“We had brands copying our designs before we even hit 10k followers,” Hassan says with a smile. “That’s when I knew we were doing something different.”

That difference? An emotional depth that you can’t fake. These aren’t just outfits — they’re artifacts of memory. Clothing designed to be passed down. Pieces that make a man feel powerful on his wedding day, and proud when he looks back at the photos decades later.

More Than Weddings: A Vision for Global Style
The wait is over, Hassan Shafiq Menswear has officially opened up its second store in Bradford, taking another bold leap: the debut of a ready-to-wear collection, focused entirely on accessible luxury menswear.

“It’s still Hassan Shafiq quality, but now, you don’t need fittings or a bespoke appointment,” Hassan explains. “This is for the man who wants to walk in, feel amazing, and leave with something iconic.”

The new line includes signature silhouettes, richly textured fabrics, and statement shawls that blend tradition with uniques. But even with expansion, the brand’s DNA remains.

“Luxury should always feel personal,” Hassan says. “Every man deserves to feel seen, celebrated, and styled for him— not squeezed into someone else’s mould. We’ve proudly dressed clients from every background — South Asian, African, Caribbean, White British and beyond. Because true style is universal. And confidence? That’s the real luxury.”

A New Standard for Modern Menswear
As Hassan Shafiq Menswear looks to the future — from red carpets to runways — it’s clear this isn’t just a fashion brand. It’s a movement. One that honors legacy, celebrates culture, and gives men permission to look and feel extraordinary.

Whether it’s a hand-embellished sherwani, a silk shawl that tells a story, or a ready-made piece that feels custom-built — the message is the same:

You’re not just dressing for the day. You’re dressing for the memory.
