The Winter issue of V hits stands on November 12th, but they’ve given us an early preview of an editorial starring buzzy (in all respects) British model Ruth Bell. Hedi Slimane, who cast Bell in the Saint Laurent Spring 2016 campaign, shot her for “Couture Now,” which put her in looks from Givenchy Haute Couture, Gaultier Paris, Chanel Haute Couture, Yves Saint Laurent Couture, Dior Haute Couture, Armani Privé, Valentino Haute Couture, Maison Margiela “Artisanal,” Fendi Haute Fourrure, and Atelier Versace. Bell’s chopped coif comes courtesy of photographer David Sims who asked her to chop it off when he cast her in the Alexander Queen Fall 2015 campaign. “Shaving my head has got me more diverse work and it has made my work non-stop, which is tiring but awesome! It’s also allowed me to work with people and designers who I never thought would work with me,” she told The Telelgraph last month. She was discovered when she and her twin sister May entered the Elite model look competition. That went well.
