Bon Appétit and Outdoor Voices threw a huge bash last night in honor of their annual Feast or Fashion series at the St. Patrick’s Youth Center on Mulberry Street. Editor-in-chief Adam Rapoport, chief revenue officer and publisher Pamela Drucker Mann, and Outdoor Voices CEO Tyler Haney joined forces to host the event entitled “Eating Things & Doing Things” to celebrate L.A.’s hot restaurant Sqirl and Haney’s latest collection for her uber popular athleisure brand.
To kick things off, the Brooklyn United Marching Band provided the entertainment while Sqirl chef Jessica Koslow treated the crowd to popcorn with fermented elderberry salt and Chinese food boxes containing sorrel rice bowls with marinated kale, watermelon radishes, feta, and dressed yuba. This was a feast after all so there were also mini crudités pita sandwiches plus, grilled halloumi with smoked dried plums and cilantro flowers. And for desert? Mango coconut popsicles. Green juice margarita mini pouches and tumeric cocktail shots by Arley Marks were the beverages on tap and Smartwater kept the crowd hydrated.
Guest like Man Repeller founder Leandra Medine, FEED founder Lauren Bush Lauren, and Sweetgreen co-founder Nicolas Jammet were played games like cornhole, ping-pong, Twister, and shuffleboard. Just the right mix of healthy and fun to round out the fashion week grind!
