Last night Beyoncé and Jay Z’s “On the Run II” tour came to a close. For four months Bey delighted fans with her costume changes, which over the course of the tour included looks from Balmain, Gucci, LaQuan Smith, and Burberry. So what did she wear for her grand finale? A look from Virgil Abloh’s Off-White — straight from Paris fashion week!

The white-to-chartreuse ombre ballgown, originally worn by Adut Akech on the runway, was a highlight of the Spring 2019 collection. The design of the gown is asymmetrical, with right side of the bodice dipping lower on the wearer’s chest than the left. A t-shirt is paired with the look, building on Abloh’s theme this season of blending performance sportswear styles with high-end fashion. Beyoncé made particularly good use of the gown’s train. Via pictures from her website, it appears that she allowed it to be stretched out in full behind her as she was seated.

This isn’t the first time Bey has worn Off-White. She has been spotted with the brand’s accessories several time. Additionally her good friend Serena Williams recently released a collaboration with Abloh for Nike. Her tour might be over, but hopefully Mrs. Carter will find more ways to give us fashion updates — we don’t want to wait until next spring to see the Spring 2019 collections come to life.
