The fruits of Jonathan Anderson’s labor are sweet, indeed! The Loewe creative director tapped Vittoria Ceretti for the brand’s newest campaign, coinciding with its Spring/Summer 2018 women’s collections. Steven Meisel lensed the mod with a variety of halved fruits over her mouth, like mangosteen, pomegranates, and melons. Pat McGrath matched Ceretti’s eyeshadow to the fruits and Guido Palau tucked strands underneath a nude cap for a striking effect. The press release affirms that the campaign is neither symbolic nor literal—it’s simply a modern take on fruit in art.
The campaign will be displayed on more than 500 kiosks across Paris from September 28 to October 4, as well as on a billboard outside Loewe’s St. Sulpice atelier, and will be part of the brand’s runway presentation on September 29. Keep your eyes “peeled!”
