“I think in L.A., we’re underestimated for how cool we all are,” Kris Jenner told us on Sunday night outside of The Daily Front Row’s fourth annual Fashion Los Angeles Awards at the iconic Beverly Hills Hotel. If that’s true, consider the myth debunked.
All the cool kids were at the FLAs and ready to party. Derek Blasberg opened the ceremony by taking a selfie with the audience, Chrissy Teigen and Paris Jackson flashing peace signs for the shot. Nicole Richie presented the Best Design Debut award to Jamie Mizrahi, her stylist-turned-bestie-turned…co-parent? “Jamie is pregnant with a baby boy and it’s mine,” Richie cracked. “We’re having a lesbian baby.”
Later on, Kris Jenner took a turn at the mic to present to the Kardashian-clan’s go-to coiffeuse and now budding entrepreneur Jet Atkin. “You’re like one of my daughters,” Jenner said, getting teary-eyed. “Truly, we feel so blessed to have you.” And when Atkin got choked up during her acceptance speech, Jenner stepped up with the mama-bear motivation to get her through. “Just look at Jeremy Scott‘s right nipple,” she laughed, pointing to the designer’s exposed chest down in the audience. “You’ll be fine!”
