D.C. is considerably chic today: Michelle Obama is hosting the Fashion Education Workshop at the White House for 150 (very lucky!) high school students hailing from various East Coast cities. Anna Wintour will introduce the First Lady, and a impressive slew of designers, including Diane von Furstenberg, Prabal Gurung, J.Crew’s Jenna Lyons, and Jason Wu, are headed down to the Capital for the occasion. The five workshops are themed around journalism, inspiration, wearable technology, construction, and entrepreneurship, according to WWDParsons whipped up the decor for the White House’s East Room for the stylish occasion.

For the inspiration-centric workshop, the likes of Reed Krakoff, Phillip Lim, Narciso Rodriguez, Thom Browne, and Opening Ceremony/Kenzo dynamic duo Humberto Leon and Carol Lim. To school the students on construction, designers including Zac Posen, Marchesa’s Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig, and Alexis Bittar will share their craftsmanship prowess. On the journalistic front, W‘s Edward Enninful, Lucky‘s Eva Chen, and Visionaire‘s Cecilia Dean will be on hand. To discuss entrepreneurship, the Workshop will feature the likes of Spanx’s Sara Blakely, Mary Alice Stephenson, and Charles Harbison.
