The Daily Davis: Chics Ahoy! NET-A-PORTER and MR.PORTER’s Boat Party

NET-A-PORTER and MR.PORTER always have the coolest parties with the chicest guests. To celebrate their seasonal same-day delivery to the Hamptons (and when I need Thom Browne swim trunks to wear to Surf Lodge, they make it happen), the e-commerce site took over Grand Banks, a wooden schooner docked on the Hudson River in Tribeca. Delicious lobster rolls were served by super-cute kids with tattoos. Hunky dudes shucked oysters from Washington State by the dozens. “I’m wearing sailor stripes!” exclaimed Amirah Kassem of Flour Shop. Very on point, Amirah. Sipping fruity cocktails while the boat rocked in the water were model Hailey Clauson, Alessandra Brawn, Nicole Warne, Dion Lee, Natalie Joos, Andres Betancourt, jewelry designer Jennifer Fisher, Langley Fox Hemingway, Sogole Honarvar, Casey Smith, Johanna Stout, Mike Krueger, Meredith Kahn, power PR guy Brenner Thomas, Piera Gelardi, Jeffrey Trosch, Hanuk, plus photographer Matt Albiani and partner Ron Brand, who have a shop cum gallery, Mate Gallery, on the ship all summer. Mate sells the ultimate in summer-hip, like vintage Op corduroy shirts in gum ball colors, paperback editions of Jaws, and recycled rubber bracelets meant to be piled on for that Bohemia Luxuria beach look that is so right-this-very-second.
