Sofia Achaval’s Complete Fall 2019 Paris Men’s Fashion Week Diary

DAY 1: January 16, 2019

Off-White
Off-White presented its menswear collection at the Musée du Louvre in an installation in an installation with green plants which made for a very interesting venue. The show, titled “Public Television”, included key trends like oversized jackets in colors such as orange, yellow, and green that could be seen in looks completed by fanny packs and XXL scarves. Texan boots were the fashionable touch in a show where football helmets contributed an overall sporty spirit, while rappers Playboi Carti and Offset killed it on the runway and stole the show.

Valentino
Next was Valentino´s show at the Grand Palais. Tailoring was the star, but the suit jackets and coats with oversides Valentino logos definitely stood out. Colors were mostly neutral with vibrant pops of yellow and baby blue. Nearly every look was worn with sneakers, which gave them a more urban style, and for the grand finale, models marched fast to “Space Oddity” by David Bowie.

Being one of Fashion Week´s most anticipated shows, Instagirl Caro Daur, actress Laura Dern, and fashion stars Anastasia Barbieri were, of course, in attendance.
