SJP by Sarah Jessica Parker is opening a pop-up shop in NYC just after Thanksgiving on Friday, November 24. A selection of Sarah Jessica Parker‘s personal favorites and best-selling shoe styles from the brand’s evergreen collection will be reimagined in exclusive colorways and fabrics in addition to merch from the Resort 2017 collection. The new exclusives include the Bliss in blue velvet, the Carrie in twilight satin, and the Serpentine in quartz. Plus, the brand’s signature little black dress will be for sale in the space so that customers can walk out with their next holiday party ensemble.
“Having a home in NYC for our SJP Collection has been only a seeming fantasy since we launched our brand almost four years ago,” said Parker in a press statement. “So it is with unbridled excitement that we share the news that we have indeed found that home; right off 5th Ave, in the heart of midtown. NYC has long been inspiration and a constant source of energy for us and we are thrilled that we can share our very personally detailed collection with those who live here as well as all those who visit our beloved city. We are so excited to welcome all to our first pop up shop in New York and help them shop the SJP Collection this holiday season.”
The actress founded the brand in 2014 alongside partner George Malkemus III, who is also the president of Manolo Blahnik—purveyor of Parker’s character Carrie’s iconic shoewear on Sex & The City. SJP by Sarah Jessica Parker’s footwear is handcrafted in Italy, while the apparel and accessories are made in the U.S.A. The brand currently has two permanent store locations at the Bellagio in Las Vegas, Nevada and at the MGM National Harbor in Oxon Hill, Maryland.
‘The very idea of the ultimate New York City girl opening a pop-up and on top of it, one opposite the famous 21 club, has me pinching myself again and again, said Malkemus in a statement. “I couldn’t be happier for my dear, dear friend and partner, Sarah Jessica Parker.”
The pop-up will take place in a 1,600-square-foot blush pink space on 640 Fifth Avenue furnished with lucite chairs and industrial fixtures and will be open through December 3.
