Last night was a late one indeed at Public School’s after party for their spring 2017 fashion show. Designers Maxwell Osborne and Dao-Yi Chow were celebrating their ‘Collection 1’ debut, which broke the typical New York Fashion Week calendar norms. Back in April, the duo announced that they would present their menswear and womenswear collections together in June (aka yesterday) and show again in December. The show featured a backdrop of masked workers, mindlessly hammering away at building blocks. To top it off, the show concluded with the workers spray painting “We Need Leaders” onto a clean white wall. Clearly the design duo, like many others, are looking for some solutions to the fashion grind.
In any case, they celebrated their early showing (and we imagine their impending vacations) by throwing a late night bash which was hosted along with Maybelline, Belvedere and Hennessy at Spring Place. Osborne was spotted around midnight on the dance floor, as well as Johannes Huebl and Danielle Bernstein. Colton Haynes and pal Jillian Mercado mingled by the bar, as well as bros Harry and Peter Brant. Others at the shindig included Kate Lanphear (the brand’s stylist), Virgil Abloh, Jus Ske, Lais Riberio, Princess Olympia of Greece, Miles Chamley Watson and Luka Sabbat.
