Ramy Brook Celebrates the Opening of Her Madison Avenue Store
Designer Ramy Brook Sharp celebrated the opening of her flagship store located at 980 Madison Avenue in New York City. The space was designed by Brook sharp’s private event designer, Jennifer Gould of Diana Gould Ltd, who decorated in the brands’ signature colors: orange and gold. There was also a custom-made bar, high tops, and handmade floor-to-ceiling gold chandeliers, with bright floral arrangements scattered throughout. Guests wore Ramy Brook’s new Holiday collection, which included plenty of festive silk lame, floral jacquard, and a heavy dose of sequins. Passed hors d’oeuvres courtesy of Tom Orlando Catering included ginger wasabi shrimp, Peking duck rolls with hoisin sauce and ahi tuna in miniature sesame cones.

The designer herself cut the celebratory orange ribbon with oversized gold scissors outside of the store as all of her guests stood behind her ready to party. “It is so special to have my family and friends with me here to help us mark the grand opening of our flagship store,” said Brook Sharp. “This has been a tremendous year of growth for the brand. I’m so happy, grateful and excited for all the great things to come.” The brand’s current motto is ‘Life’s a Party’ and to that end, the crowd got wild dancing, drinking and having a fabulous time well into the night.

Lela Rose Hosts a Dinner to Celebrate Her Collaboration with Mignonne Gavigan
No one throws a dinner party quite like Lela Rose. On Thursday night the designer opened up her Tribeca home to members of the fashion press and the bridal industry to fête her accessories collaboration with jewelry designer Mignonne Gavigan. The collection includes hair accessories and earrings — including an especially whimsical pair rosé champaign bottle drops — and retails for $150 to $425.

The evening began with live music, cocktails, and passed hors d’oeuvres. Models wearing looks from Rose’s latest bridal collection, accessorized with the collaboration jewelry and hair accessories, perched on a glass swing that lowered from the ceiling on metal cables. When it was time for dinner, the glass swing was joined to one end of the epicly long dining table that rose up from the floor and ran the length of the apartment. The meal that followed was absolutely divine and included personal lobster pot pies and a dessert of île flottante, which the chef revealed later had been made using a microwave (hardly traditional, but very effective, as the little islands of meringue were light and delicious). Guests departed with pieces from the collection and lovely lilac napkins monogrammed with their initial in pearls by Lela Rose herself.
