Mr. Porter Throws a Block Party

by Eddie Roche

He’s still, he’s still Mr. Porter from the block. Last night Mr. Porter threw a block party on Crosby Street in Soho to celebrate New York Fashion Week: Men’s in an original way. They worked with a few of their New York-based brands in the area to shut down the sidewalk and welcome guests into the Saturdays NYC, Miansai, Jean Shop, and Fellow Barber stores for booze, temporary tattoos, free bracelets, interactive photobooths, dyed bandanas, and free haircuts. Outside Tacombi provided bite-sized tacos from their truck. Making their way downtown were Kellan Lutz, Johannes Huebl, Jim Moore, Todd Snyder, Tom Bull, Cynthia Rowley, Alexander Gilkes, Graham Norton, Kyle Schaffler, Dr. Mike, Isaac Hindin-Miller, Jenny Albright, Helio AscariWilliam Buckley, and Eliza Cummings who mingled with Mr. Porter managing director Toby Bateman, buying director Fiona Firth, buying manager Sam Lobban, and their friendly U.S. editor Dan Rookwood. The event was produced by Vance Garrett Productions. Well done.
