L’Oréal Paris Taps Social Media Star Thylane Blondeau As Its New Face

by Sydney Sadick

L’Oréal Paris announced today that social media star Thylane Blondeau is its latest brand ambassador. The influencer and model is celebrating her sweet 16 today, so it seems like the cosmetics giant is looking to tap into the generation Z market. She has over 1M followers on Instagram, after all. The deal isn’t Blondeau’s first time working with L’Oréal Paris. The beauty was apparently a “friend of the brand,” having “joined the ‘Lorealista Squad’ for her first red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival” last year. Blondeau, who’s signed to IMG Worldwide, follows in the footsteps of major mods du moment, including Irina ShaykKarlie KlossBarbara Palvin, and others. She has also been featured in the pages of Teen Vogue, in addition to covering L’Officiel. As part of her new role, Blondeau is slated to appear in campaigns across L’Oréal Paris’ hair, makeup, and skincare categories, starting with the brand’s Hydra Genius line.

“I am so honored to join the L’Oréal Paris family, which is one of the most amazing beauty brands I always dream about,” Blondeau said in a statement. “L’Oréal Paris is truly a brand where I feel I can be myself, defending values that matter for me such as self-confidence and self-esteem.”
