Jason Wu is making his fragrance foray, and Lily Aldridge is helping him with its debut. The mod fronts the campaign for Wu’s namesake eau de parfum in a shot by Inez Van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, with creative direction by Fabien Baron. For the fresh scent, Wu worked with master perfumer Frank Voelkl, and together they blended a floral, woody scent featuring Taiwanese flower Jasmine Sambac, a reference to Wu’s childhood—he used to pluck the flower from his neighbor’s stone wall. Other notes include pink pepper, fig, freesia, peony, and silky musk, to name a few. As for the bottle, Wu partnered with architect Andre Mellone to create an architecturally pleasing circular gold cap and thick glass base, showcasing the nude-blush liquid.
The parfum will be available for $145 at Saks Fifth Avenue in August.
