Farfetch Launches will.i.am’s Latest Wearable Tech

by Sydney Sadick

It’s no news that wearable tech has become a “thing”—i.e. the Apple Watch and other useful, yet fashionable, wrist-candy inventions. Now, hip-hop artist and entrepreneur will.i.am, who founded the tech company i.am+, is capitalizing on the movement. Enter the premium bluetoothTM wireless EP headphones, the first audio product created by the music artists’s company. On the design front, the headphones were inspired by the iconic shape of vinyl records and are crafted from spun metal paired with a woven fabric cord.

They come in black and gold color ways with metallic discs that can be magnetically clasped around your neck to wear all day. Farfetch is the first global e-commerce site to carry the headphones ($229.99). “Farfetch is a game-changing business—in terms of innovation in retail/e-tail—and I am excited about what this company is doing,” said will.i.am in a release. “It felt like a natural fit to partner on the global online launch of i.am+ EPs.”
