InStyle’s new EIC Laura Brown adds another name to her expanding team: Jessie Heyman, who hails from Vogue, will join as digital features director, The Daily learned. Heyman was deputy culture editor at Vogue since March 2015, and prior to that was entertainment editor at Huffington Post. She heads to Time Inc. on November 28, where she’ll be responsible for editing and assigning features and digital packages, including video and social-first initiatives, and will report to newly minted site director Ruthie Friedlander.
“I could not be more excited to welcome Jessie to the InStyle.com team,” Friedlander said. “She is whip-smart with incredible editorial instincts, and she knows what works online. As Digital Features Director, Jessie will help me to strategize and elevate our voice, with a strong injection of humor and intelligence.”
