(NEW YORK) Harper’s Bazaar headed downtown and digital to pluck their latest masthead addition: Charlotte Cowles is joining the Hearst glossy as senior features editor after three years at New York. Most recently, Cowles served as senior editor at The Cut, New York‘s fashion blog turned standalone lifestyle site. She has held assistant editor and news editor titles at the weekly mag on the digital side as well. The Columbia University alum has also worked at the erstwhile The New York Sun, as well as Sling magazine, according to her LinkedIn; her work has been published in Time Out New York, ArtNews, and Art in America.

Word of Cowles’ departure comes two weeks after The Cut announced the hire of The Daily Beast’s Isabel Wilkinson as senior editor. As for Cowles’ predecessor? Last month, Lindsay Talbot left the senior features editor role at Bazaar to join Condé Nast Traveler as senior editor. Cowles will begin her new gig at the Hearst Tower on December 4.
