Fashion’s go-to skincare queen aka Dr. Barbara Sturm is expanding her empire with her very first permanent location in the United States. Last night she invited her sizable fan club to check out the new digs located in NoHo. Guests such as Brian Atwood, Daphne Groenveld, Lindsey Wixson, Fernando Garcia, Laura Kim, Nicky Hilton, Jordan Barrett, Zac Stenmark, Heron Preston, Christian Cowan, Joy Corrigan, Selby Drummond, Tabitha Simmons, and Athena Calderone were the first to check out The Dr. Barbara Sturm Boutique & Spa at Zero Bond (670 Broadway), which officially opens doors on May 16th. The new digs will include two private treatment rooms and the full collection of Sturm’s beloved skincare products. (This is the woman who brought blood facials to prominence.)
Last year she revealed some of her wellness secrets to The Daily Summer. “I try to get a good night’s sleep, and I do this by going to bed early,” she said. “I drink water and almost nothing else. I exercise as often as I can, even if it’s for 15 minutes. I adhere to an anti-inflammatory diet — high in blueberries, salmon, and leafy green vegetables — and avoid fried food, sugar, processed flour, and cured meats. I like a lychee martini or a nice glass of Chardonnay, but I don’t drink too much or too regularly. No matter what geography I’m in, I take my own supplements every day — one each of Skin Food, Anti-Pollution Food, and Repair Food.”
She broke her own rules last night with an after-party and dinner at Indochine where Teyana Taylor surprised guests with a special performance. Well deserved, love.
