Dolce & Gabbana’s Former President Federica Marchionni Named CEO At Lands’ End

by Paige Reddinger

Dolce & Gabbana’s former president, Federica Marchionni, has been tapped as CEO of Lands’ End. She will succeed Edgar Huber, who has resigned from the company. Huber was CEO at Lands’ End since 2011 and had overseen the company’s transition into a freestanding public company. Sears acquired Lands’ End for $1.9 billion in 2002.

Marchionni had been president of Dolce & Gabbana since 2011, but had also once served as the group director of the company for just under a decade starting in 2001. Prior to serving as president at the Italian luxury label, Marchionni was the senior vice president of Ferrari. She has also held various marketing and branding roles at Ericsson, Philips, and Samsung. Lands’ End has sales of $1.5 billion, according to a comment made by the company’s non-executive chairman Josephine Linden to WWD. While we hate to think what it will be like for Marchionni to say arrivederci to all her chic Dolce & Gabbana duds, we imagine her new salary will allow her to still work and live in style. Marchionni will begin her new role at Lands’ End on February 17th.
