My totally gorgeous ‘n’ glamorous friend Dalia Oberlander is always dripping in sparkling jewels, which makes sense, as her e-commerce site Latest Revival is all about divine and rare jewelry. The other night in the penthouse of The Standard East, Dalia and a gaggle of girls (and a few guys, like moi) toasted Latest Revival’s ultra-curated, limited-edition capsule collection for Christie’s. Chicness ensued. One-of-a-kind pieces were on display from Pamela Love, Monique Pean, Deborah Pagani, Maiyet, and COMPLETEDWORKS. Prices ranged from $3,000 to $132,680 for a Pean diamond necklace. Anyone want to buy me an early Christmas present? My vault is feeling empty.
“Christie’s initially approached me to propose a partnership, expressing interest in the truly unique edit of jewels found on Latest Revival,” Dalia told me. “I seized this rare opportunity to introduce our talented contemporary designers to a broader demographic, and there could be no better partner, as Christie’s is the leader in the jewelry market. When I presented the idea to curate a capsule collection of one-of-a-kind pieces for their site, they loved it and gave me full freedom to move forward with the project.”
There were so many pretty faces in the room. I spotted: Luigi Tadini, Amanda Hearst, handsome Nicky Balestrieri, Lynn Yaeger, Selby Drummond, Sarah Arison, John Auerbach of Christie’s, Ed Tang, Javier Pinon, and Mara Hoffman, writer Lesley M. Blume, Teresa Berkery, Diana Oberlander, and Francesca Bodini (who looks radiant after recently having a baby). Now back to that major Monique Pean diamond open collar necklace. It feels very Oscar red-carpet, but Dalia often dresses down her diamonds. “I love rocking jeans and a tee with diamonds,” she exclaimed. “I’m into the juxtaposition of downtown cool with a little uptown glamour.”
