Seize, dare, create! Chanel unveiled another chapter in its video series on the heritage of the French maison and its iconic founder Gabrielle “Coco” Chanel. The new video celebrates her philosophies on following one’s passion. The video highlights some of Gabrielle Chanel’s inspiration for following her dreams:
“Seize beauty all the time anywhere you go—in a Venetian church, in a bouquet of white Camellias, in a Baroque angel—because it is a vital necessity.”
“Create passionately by being a fiery force at work. I’m the only volcanic crate in Auvergne that is not extinct.”
“Dare to invent. Take risks by wearing black and costume jewelry and a perfume that speaks of women, not of flowers.”
The video also highlights some of Gabrielle Chanel’s greatest fashion influences (Boy Capel, The Duke of Westminster, Grand Duke Dimitri) and strongest friendships (Dali, Diaghilev, Picasso, Cocteau) that helped her along her path to success. “It was the artists that taught me rigor,” said Chanel.
