Billy Porter, come thru! The Pose star arrived at the 2019 Met Gala dressed like an ancient Egyptian god and carried on a palanquin by 6 well muscled (and well oiled) men in gold jeans and matching hardware. It was a moment reminiscent of Lady Gaga’s “walk” down the red carpet at the 2011 Grammys, only instead of hiding himself away inside an egg, Porter’s fabulousness was out on a platter for the world to see and eat up with glee.
Porter’s look was created by the Blonds and featured dramatic golden wings with what looks like a nearly 10-foot span and a matching golden headdress. His boots were by Giuseppe Zanotti — custom, of course — and he completed his lewk with glittering gold makeup courtesy of Pat McGrath Labs and a fistful of oversized rings.

Porter documented his Met Gala preparations on Instagram, which included plenty of time lounging in bed, dinging champagne and watching Martin on TV.
It’s hard to believe anyone will be able to top that entrance, but hey, the night is still young!
