Who wouldn’t want to flip through a print publication of all the wonderfully luxe items from Barneys? Good news, darlings! Barneys New York is debuting a print edition of their popular digital editorial site The Window. The print version will offer a glimpse into the world of Barneys, bringing context to the retailer’s ultra chic luxury offering, with editorial highlights like a glimpse into Paco Rabanne creative director Julien Dossena‘s Parisian studio (a sneak peek of that story above), an exclusive interview with Isabel Marant, and a travel feature on Casco Viejo shot by Barneys New York creative director Dennis Freedman, amongst other must-reads.
“The digital version of The Window has been one of the fastest gwoing and responsive platforms in our portfolio, so it was natural for us to put this successful narrative into print,” said Barneys New York COO Daniella Vitale in a press statement. “The Window serves as a portfolio of all that Barneys represents, and is special int he fact that it offers a highly visual experience through elevated photography, graphics, and editorial.” Contributing photographers include Christian Macdonald, Ilan Rubin, Daniel Jackson, and Richard Pierce. Writer Christopher Petkanas, who has written for T magazine, W magazine, and Architectural Digest, will also contribute alongside the Barneys New York editorial team.
The publication will be available on a seasonal basis with women’s for Spring and Fall of this year and a men’s edition debuting for Fall 2015. You can pick up a copy starting this Friday, February 13th at Barneys New York flagship locations or download via their iPad app. Plus, check out their bonus content on the digital site for extra photos, videos, and other written pieces.
