Barneys New York Celebrates Charity Auction with Christie’s

Barneys New York threw a big bash at its new Chelsea location to fête its charity auction with Christie’s. The luxury retailer is auctioning off one-of-a-kind leather jackets by contemporary designers and artists like Joseph Altuzarra, Helmut Lang, Azzedine Alaïa, Alexander Wang, Dries Van Noten, Riccardo Tisci, Isabel Marant, Tim Coppens, and more. The proceeds will benefit two iconic New York nonprofits, The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender (LGBT) Center and art-space White Columns.

Absolutely tout le monde showed up for the event last night including the Barneys New York crew like Mark Lee, Daniella Vitale, Dennis Freedman, Tomoko Ogura, and Simon Doonan and his dog, which appeared to be a party favorite. Swizz Beatz, Andy Cohen, Stefano Tonchi, Maria Cornejo, Narciso Rodriguez, and more all came out to show their support. Barneys New York’s campaign stars also came out to take in the leather including a few of the Angulo brothers and Muffinhead. See the full gallery below.
