Balmain Fall/Winter 2017

by The Daily Front Row

It was a riot of texture, pattern, and unabashed luxury in the Balmain-iverse, and did you really expect anything else? Olivier Rousteing, one of the most talked-about designers in Paris, is hellbent on pushing his vision forward in new and provocative ways, and for Fall, that meant a whopping 80 looks presented on an A-list crop of models. Gigi, Kendall, Sasha, Jourdan, Elsa, Maartje, Josephine—all looked especially fabulous and fearsome in magnificently-executed statement looks in a palette of brown, black, and caramel. From cowhide wrap jackets to knit jumpsuits to fringed tweeds, the body-con staples of the Balmain babe pair best with thigh-high boots in suede or snakeskin, and more than a soupcon of attitude. Another exceptional offering from one of the fashion world’s brightest stars.
