Bli upphetsad (that’s Swedish for “get excited”) — two mega Swedish brands have officially teamed up! Acne Studios and outdoor brand Fjällräven (best known for backpacks adorned with their cute fox logo) have collaborated on a capsule collection.
“I grew up with Fjällräven,” said Acne Studios’ creative director Jonny Johansson. “If you are Swedish, you have a very specific relationship with the brand. I’m very proud that it’s Swedish, and wanted to share our love for Fjällräven with the world.”
“We were honored when Acne Studios approached us, and curious too, because we’ve never done
anything like this before,” added Fjällräven’s head of innovation and design, Henrik Andersson. “The result is a unique collection that embodies the timeless functionality of Fjällräven and the artistic approach of Acne Studios while creating something completely new.”
The collaboration draws from Fjällräven’s most iconic pieces, keeping their functionality with some subtle tweaks and flourishes from Acne. Doubling down on the partnership (and the “aww” factor) the collection features a new joint logo, in which the brands have swapped fonts. Everything is set to hit stores and online September 6th. Vi kan inte vänta! (That’s Swedish for “we can’t wait!)
