NYLON Taps Preetma Singh As Market Director

by Dena Silver

As soon as fashion month wraps, NYLON will welcome a new member to their team: Preetma Singh has been tapped as the glossy’s new market director, The Daily can exclusively report. The street style fave will join the team on October 1. Singh succeeds Rachael Wang, who left NYLON on August 13th to join Style.com as fashion market director, following Marina Larroude‘s departure from the site to become Teen Vogue‘s fashion director. Formerly a corporate lawyer, Singh spent time at Refinery29, Vogue, and Marie Claire before landing the market editor role at WSJ. in January 2013. She also moonlights as the drummer in the band Vomitface. “Preetma is the quintessential NYLON girl. She not only has incredible fashion experience but she also has a style that is distinctly her own—just one of a million reasons why she is the perfect complement to our fashion team,” said editor-in-chief Michelle Lee on the new hire.
