Spring Preview: Max Mara Edition

By  |  0 Comments

We know Autumn has barely cracked opened its eyes, but anybody down for some Spring 411? Today, Max Mara announced a partnership with the Whitney Museum of American Art as the sponsor of their opening party at a TBD date this Spring. The brand and museum have partnered on numerous events in the past, including the annual Whitney Art Party. The Whitney is set to open their new location at the corner of Gansevoort and Washington Street after decades at 945 Madison Avenue. “The new building, conceived by Renzo Piano in a prestigious and inspiring location within NYC, will tremendously enhance the potential of the Whitney Museum to show its spectacular collections, launch more educational projects and to host experimental and multimedia activities, setting a new benchmark for international contemporary art institutions around the world.“ Luigi Maramotti, chairman of Max Mara, explained. The Whitney is actually returning to their downtown roots: Gertrude Vanderbilt Whitney first built the museum on West 8th Street before relocating to West 54th Street in 1954. There’s a little fun fact for ya…
