Industry veteran Iana dos Reis Nunes will be joining Marc Jacobs as the global head of communications starting on August 10th, according to WWD. Dos Reis Nunes was most recently the vice president of public relations at Coach since November 2013. Prior to that role, she has held several high-profile roles at luxury brands like The Row, Chanel, and Louis Vuitton. At The Row, dos Reis Nunes was the vice president of global communications. At Chanel, dos Reis Nunes was the executive director of public relations for almost three years, and she spent nine years at Louis Vuitton, where she worked her way up from public relations manager to public relations director. She succeeds Billy Daley in her new role.
Marc Jacobs has recently been in a restructuring phase under CEO Sebastian Suhl. Marc by Marc Jacobs was shuttered in an effort to expand Jacobs’ main line, which will span the gamut from luxury to contemporary. The company is also said to be in the process of adding more new hires to the team in its public relations, marketing, events, and celebrity departments. Time to spruce up those resumes, darlings!
