Condé Nast College: Class Is In Session

by The Daily Front Row

(NEW YORK) The debut crop of students at Condé Nast College of Fashion & Design in London hit the books today, kicking off a 10-week, 45-student intensive course on all things fashion, called the “Vogue Fashion Certificate”. Originally, the institution was slated to open its doors in January of this year. The school, a first-ever academic foray for the publishing powerhouse, culled its small crew of pupils from 23 different countries. (That’s a chic capsule U.N. of sorts, non?) The degree du pursuit: Vogue Fashion Foundation Diploma, a year-long program for industry aspirants. The student body will double come October, when another flock of 45 students headed to the new school, located in London’s Soho ‘hood. Staff-wise, the school’s principal is Susie Forbes, ex-deputy editor of British Vogue. Compared to ever-exorbitant regular college tuitions, Condé Nast College will run you approximately $10K for the certificate course, and around $30K for a year’s worth of learning. Study up, chicettes!
