Victoria Beckham x TheOutnet

Can you fit into a size zero? If so, it’s your lucky day: Victoria Beckham is planning to sell 600 pieces of her own clothing on The Outnet with profits going to aid the charity, mothers2mothers. The charity trains, employs, and empowers mothers living with HIV and educates them on how to prevent the transmission of HIV from mothers to babies and improve the health of women and their families. In February of this year, Beckham met with mothers2mothers founder Dr. Mitch Besser following an invitation from Anna Wintour and American Vogue to visit South Africa. “After spending just a few days with these remarkable women and learning more about the charity from Mitch, and his lovely wife Annie Lennox, I wanted to do as much as I could.” said Beckham in a press statement. “It really was a life-changing experience; I’ve never experienced anything like it.”

The Outnet valued the items, with the help of Christie’s, and will host the sale online on August 20th-25th. Beckham spent time with her mother and sister pouring through her wardrobe. So what can you expect to find? Iconic pieces from her early days with the Spice Girls, items she’s been spotted in alongside her hunky hubby David Beckham, and pieces from catwalk appearances, award shows, and parties. “I laughed a lot when we were going through my wardrobe as the pieces hold so many happy memories for me, David and the children,” said Beckham. “A lot of the clothes have been specially designed for me by the most talented designers and I’ve loved wearing them, however I now feel it’s someone else’s turn to enjoy them.” Ten of the most iconic pieces from Beckham’s wardrobe will be put up on The Outnet’s “Going, Going, Gone” sale where the starting price reduces by a fixed amount every five minutes. Expect pieces like a full-length, white Dolce & Gabbana dress that Beckham wore to the 2003 MTV Music Video Awards or a fluorescent yellow Roberto Cavalli gown worn for the pre-World Cup party in 2006 at the Beckham’s country house. Looking to get your hands on these items? Mark your calendars in advance. Those wanting to shop the sale must pre-register starting August 5th in order to be able shop the wardrobe. As for the svelte sizing of Beckham’s wardrobe, some gym sessions might be necessary…
