On this rainy Thursday afternoon, collaboratrix extraordinare Leandra Medine‘s first full-fledged shoe collection dropped on Net-a-Porter. Dubbed MR by Man Repeller, the 10-piece offering comprises over-the-knee leather boots, velvet loafers, and embellished platforms with predictably cheeky (if a little compliqué) names like “Lol If You Think I’m Walking” and “I’m Really Here to Party.” Medine’s punky, funky, and unabashedly retro aesthetic is smartly aligned with those of Gucci’s Alessandro Michele, Miuccia Prada, et al. (There’s also a vintage Ferragamo flavor, to her credit.) Things we like: The price point ($350 to $795), for starters, and especially Medine’s totally original take on fashion media. Thoughts?
