Carine Roitfeld Talks Her New Collection with Uniqlo

by Sydney Sadick

Carine Roitfeld toasted her latest collaboration with Uniqlo avec a two-pronged event last night: a cocktail party at the retailer’s Fifth Avenue global flagship, followed by an intimate dinner at Indochine, which brought out faces like Martha Hunt, Jordan BarrettCindy BrunaLily DonaldsonSteven Klein, and Sebastian Faena.

The 2016 Fall/Winter collection marks the third partnership between the fashion editor and retailer, and as always, it features clothing and accessories that are very Carine-esque. “I think this collection is our best one yet,” Roitfeld told us. “I’ve learned a lot from my friends who’ve been wearing the clothes—they tell me what they like and don’t like—and what I think is great, I’ve repeated.” As for what she’s most excited about in the collection? “I’m really proud of the fake fur and fake leather we’ve done in this collection. I think it’s higher quality this time—it looks real and is very warm. I’m really proud of them,” she added. “It’s like a dream—you make your dream collection exist. I like doing things that makes me happy, and this is fun.”

The collection, which features outwear, knits, suit separates, belts, tights, accessories, and ready-to-wear, is now available at the Uniqlo Fifth Avenue Global Flagship store and online at Uniqlo.com.
