The Couture Council of The Museum at FIT Honors Albert Kriemler

Yesterday, the fashion industry united to celebrate Akris creative director Albert Kriemler at the Couture Council of The Museum at FIT luncheon at the David Koch theater at Lincoln Center. The designer was presented the Artistry of Fashion award for his “commitment to outstanding craftsmanship and his dedication to creating well-tailored, wearable pieces that blend luxury with functionality,” according to a press release. After he was presented the award by Linda Fargo, Kriemler highlighted his love for New York City, the opening of his first store on the Upper East Side in the late ’90s, and his plans for his first New York Fashion Week show with the brand this Friday. Industry staples and designers who attended the luncheon of the season included Veronica Webb, Martha StewartJoanna Coles, Elizabeth MusmannoJudith Ripka, Hamish Bowles, Joe Zee, Yaz Hernández, Liz Peek, Audrey Gruss, Lisa Klein, Dr. Joyce F. Brown, and more.
