Taylor Swift stuns on the cover of the May issue of Vogue in a shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott and styled by Tonne Goodman. (Alas posted the image on Instagram today writing: “THIS GIRL IS HOT AND CRAZY.”) Inside she tells writer Jason Gay that she’s ready to take a little break and try some new things such as…learning CPR! “I would really like to take a little time to learn things,” Swift said. “I have lots of short-term goals.” What are they? “I want to be a well-rounded person who can make a good drink.” That’ll do. What else? “To be able to save somebody if they’re drowning,” she added. “So CPR, all the various kinds of chest compressions. People tell you little tips, but that’s different from actually taking a class and getting certified.”

Swift has at least one guaranteed commitment in the books next month. She’ll cochair the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute’s 2016 gala for the exhibition “Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology on May 2.

Meanwhile her bestie Karlie Kloss is having an epic week with President Obama, who mentioned the IMG girl in a speech yesterday at The White House. “S U R R E A L does not even begin to define the day,” KK wrote on Instagram. “I never dreamed I would be invited to The White House, let alone hear the president say my name.” Kloss was in DC for the sixth and final White House Science Fair of the Obama administration.
