Last night, Sarah Jessica Parker celebrated her latest foray into fashion with the launch for her new bridal collection, designed in collaboration with, and available exclusively at, Gilt.

“Collaborating with Gilt on my first bridal ready-to-wear collection was an opportunity I couldn’t pass up,” said Parker in a statement. “The team there is brilliant and allowed me to be imaginative and take risks as I was designing for the non-traditional bride. It has been quite fun to play around with colors, fabrics and details to create unique pieces for all kinds of brides.”

The collection is intended to take women from the bridal shower through the wedding reception and is made up of 10 styles in white, black, grey, blush, blue, and poppy, and ranges in price from $295 for a sleeveless bodysuit, to $2,395 for the embroidered gown, with size ranges from extra small to large for the bodysuits, and 0 to 14 for all other pieces.

One of the collections more expensive pieces, a black lace open-front maxi skirt that retails for $1,795, has nearly sold out already.

Regarding your title: could it be because Carrie Bradshaw was a character independent of and play by Sarah Jessica Parker and doesn’t fully represent her as person?
