We spotted Yahoo Style editor Sarah Cristobal front row at Anrealage show at the Palais de Tokyo in Paris this week. She dished on her favorite Parisian restaurant, who did her blonde locks, and what’s new chez Yahoo.
What’s new at Yahoo?
So much! We’re finishing out show month and we have a lot of cover stories coming up and Joe [Zee] has his daytime talk show, The Fab Life, now so we’re also doing a lot of features with that. It’s all really good.
When did you get to Paris?
I got here this morning but I didn’t really sleep on the plane. I watched Woody Allen movies like Hannah and Her Sisters, which was really good, and I caught a bit of Manhattan, which I really love.
We’re loving you as a blonde!
I decided to go blonde in January. We were working in L.A. for the Golden Globes and we were there for a week and a half and at the end I just decided to do it.
When in L.A., go blonde, right?
Well, the girl that I used to go to in New York moved to L.A. and she’s really good. Her name is Naomi [Knights]. She used to be at Ion Studio on Wooster Street in Soho. She does a great job. We even put some pink in my hair initially, which was fun.
Is she a celebrity hairstylist as well?
I think she does Scarlett Johansson and Olivia Kim. She’s just really groovy.
Do you go to L.A. often for Yahoo?
We did for the first year, but I didn’t go this last run for the Emmy’s, because I knew I was coming to Paris soon. We divided and conquered.
What shows are you looking forward to?
I’m looking forward to seeing Anrealage and also to see what the Coperni guys [Sébastien Meyer and Arnaud Vaillant] will do at Courrèges. Basically, I’m just excited to be in Paris!
Do you have any favorite spots in Paris?
I love Bob’s Kitchen. It’s a really great vegan restaurant. It’s a tiny little sliver of a place. I’m not even vegan, but that’s the thing, it’s that good.
