Nicole Kidman Covers Interview

Nicole Kidman covers the October issue of Interview magazine in a shot by Fabien Baron and styling by Karl Templer. Inside, Kidman—star of the upcoming Secret in Their Eyes—talks to Lee Daniels, who directed her in 2012’s The Paperboy. (Surely you remember that classic!) The issue also features a 60-page portfolio, also shot by Baron and styled by Templer, titled “In The Air,” which celebrates a series of people who have continually intrigued Baron. “The portfolio is a personal take on what’s inspiring me at this moment in time,” he says. “The people, places, and projects I’m most excited about—sort of like a mood board that covers a culturally broad spectrum of what I feel ‘in the air’ right now. So, while there are a lot of fashion images that celebrate a particular mood or aesthetic, there is also a mix of portraits of people who I truly admire.” A few of the names deemed Baron-worthy are Rei Kawakubo of Comme des Garçons, Grace Coddington, Anna Cleveland, and Kaia Gerber.

Last week in New York, Interview hosted an intimate dinner and cocktail party with denim brand Level 99 at Omar’s to celebrate The Forever Collections, which is the new campaign starring the stunning Petra Nemcova and shot by Mick Rock, who were both in attendance. Guests for the evening included Level 99 president Dominic Poon, Interview president and publisher Dan Ragone, Thom Filicia, Scott Lipps, Todd DiCiurcio, Amie Gaines, Liz Vap, Lisa Raden, Ross Bleckner, Dan Barton, and a slew of flexible stuffed teddy bears.
